December 21, 2012, an auspicious day, and the day we are targeting for our universal, simultaneous Global Strike For World Peace.
Why 12-21-12, you may wonder? Well, we’ve chosen this day for a number of reasons:
First and foremost, we want this to be a non-violent and non-confrontational event.
With the majority of our world’s population living in the Northern Hemisphere it will be Winter, and it will be cold. We don’t want you out on the streets demonstrating, and the colder it is the less likely you will be motivated to stand outside and freeze your rear-end off. We don’t want the anarchists among us out there hijacking our movement—destroying private property, in our name, and for our cause. If you’re out on the street you give the authorities a target for reprisals. We don’t want you out on the streets, for any reason, and anyone who is will not be representing us, our aims, or our aspirations.
We want you all to stay home, to stay safe and warm, and to take the moment to reflect with friends and family on what it is we’re trying to accomplish; to discuss among yourselves your hopes and dreams for your future, the future of your children, and the future of our species.
Second, for this strike to be successful we must get the attention of the “Powers That Be,” the movers and shakers who presently run the world, be they political, business or religious.
Money makes the world go round, and to impress on them the seriousness of our cause and the righteousness of our ambitions, we have to hit them where it hurts the most—in their pocketbooks, and on their bottom lines.
Many cultures and religions celebrate the Winter Solstice, and in 2012 it will fall on December 21st. Many of these festivities incorporate gift-giving and a procession of parties, and businesses count on this period for a large percentage of their annual income. Do your shopping before hand. Plan your parties accordingly.
Unless your business, or your professional responsibility, directly involves your participation in an essential industry such as public safety, crucial infrastructure operation, or emergency medical services, the world can get along without you for a day. Your customers will be there the day before, and they will be there the day after. You owe it to yourselves, your families, and your employees to close your doors on the day of our strike. Reflect, if you will, on the prospects for true Peace On Earth, and Goodwill for allmankind. If we are successful your potential loss of revenue will be repaid many times over (World Peace and Enlightened Self-interest.)
And third, our co-opting of the attendant hoopla and energy surrounding the mythical and metaphysical ending of the current cycle of The Mayan Calender.
There are many misconceptions and misplaced apprehensions regarding the significance of the purported Mayan Prophesies regarding December 21st, 2012. For most of us it’s a bunch of hogwash and doesn’t portend a thing. For some it will herald the end of an age with some sort of Earth-shattering physical cataclysm (there actually is a fairly rare celestial alignment on that day, one which occurs every 26 thousand years.) For others, the Mayans included (2012 The True Mayan Prophecy), the end of their current 5200 year calendar will usher in a new age of harmony, enlightenment and understanding. We fervently hope this is the case, and what better way to birth this new age than with a world-wide day of peaceful reflection.
